Q: Are LED grow lights proven to be effective? I've heard LED's produce poor results, is that true?
A: Nothing could be further from the truth! Unfortunately, some LED grow lights products on the markets are poor quality and do not have enough intensity in their LED's. Some are poorly designed and do not have the correct light ratios for plants. This gives LED's a bad reputation. The truth is NASA is using LEDs to grow plants in space right now with great success and, according to in house tests and customer feedbacl, grow lights really work.
Q: Why are LED grow lights RED and BLUE, not white?
A: LED's are manufactured with the optimal ratio of lights that will make your plants grow quicker with less energy. We will only use the color ratio that the plants need, rather than waste energy uses colors fo the spectrum they do not need. Some of our LEDs, that are used for the entire grow cycle, contain a ratio of green light, infrared light and even white light. Because the red blue ratio is the most important, this is the color you will see most often.
Q: What is Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR)?
A: The photosynthesis reaction that makes plants grow reacts to only certain light wavelengths (colors). This is exactly what PAR light is (Photosynthetically Active Radiation). This means that if you buy a traditional white light, you will be giving your plants lots of extra light that it can't even use! That's a huge waste of energy!
Q: LEDs cost more than Traditional HID lights?
A: The initial investment is higher with LEDs, but in the long run, LEDs save you the cost of energy ost, and will make your plants grow quicker indoors. You will not have to waste time, money and energy replacing bulbs after 10,000 hours because LEDs last 50,000 hours! LED lights also make you a good and healthy living environment with no mercury!
